-wildlife-Häagen-Dazs Loves Honeybees
Häagen-Dazs ice cream has been showing their love for bees lately. It's a bit of a marketing approach, but the end result is the same, regardless. You see, bees have been dieing off and the company (along with Mother Nature) needs the striped insect to maintain their use of 1 million pounds of almonds a year. To help save the bees, Häagen-Dazs is developing an area dedicated to bees at the University of California, Davis - an area that will include a half-acre, $65,000 bee-garden. Sweet!
